ABOUT

Ali Schachtschneider is a strategic innovation leader with over a decade of experience advancing next-gen materials, circular systems, and sustainable products across fashion, textiles, and consumer goods in North America, Europe, and Asia. Her approach combines strategy, and operations, and cross-functional execution to help companies build lower-impact, future-ready products.

Most recently, Ali served Chief Innovation Officer and Co-Founder at Sci-Lume Labs, where she led the development of Bylon®, a circular nylon made from agricultural waste. She directed product strategy, built early brand partnerships, and secured the CFDA x Swarovski Foundation Re:Generation Innovation award.

Previously, she moved from NYC to Tokyo where she built and led a new Circularity function as Head Strategist Sustainable Systems (e.g. Circularity Director) at Spiber Inc., the Japanese biotech ‘unicorn’ producing Brewed Protein™ for global fashion, beauty, and mobility brands. She initiated development of a textile bio-recycling platform and drove partnerships with brands, securing partnerships with the likes of Goldwin Inc., KERING, Pangaia, EILEEN FISHER INC., and DyStar, among others.
